Carmen on arrival, laying down in extreme pain and Carmen at Soi Dog hospital after receiving medical care
Dear Supporter,
Over the past 20 years, I have witnessed countless cases of abuse and cruelty come through our doors. While I have seen utter terror and fear in the eyes of hundreds of stray animals, dogs like Carmen never fail to break our hearts.

Carmen was reported to our Emergency Rescue Team after she had been spotted limping in a jungle area by a local resident.

When our team rushed to her rescue, little did they know about the horrors Carmen had endured.

They were shocked to find her leg ripped away after she had been caught in a snare trap meant for wild animals.

Once she was safely in our hospital, a picture began to unfold of the tragic life Carmen had suffered.

For over nine years, she roamed the streets as a stray, fending for herself and facing the harsh realities of survival. Tragically, Carmen likely experienced the agony of losing countless litters of puppies, each one a heartbreaking loss.

Upon arrival at our hospital, our medical team discovered something even more disturbing. Carmen had not one, but 15 bullets lodged in her body - a testament to the hardship she endured throughout her life. Sickeningly, there were two different types of bullets meaning she had been shot on separate occasions.

Your generous monthly support ensured Carmen could receive the urgent veterinary care she needed to survive and amputation surgery for her injured leg. Your kindness helped Carmen get this far.

She is currently recovering in our hospital, and she will need continued medical treatment and specialised behavioural care to heal her emotional scars.

Supporter, your continued support has already helped to make a world of difference for Carmen and many other dogs in our hospital, fighting for a full recovery.

With a kind, one-time gift today, you can help to cover Carmen's medical expenses and provide her with the care and rehabilitation she needs to heal both physically and emotionally.

Together, we can give Carmen the chance to experience love, safety, and happiness for the first time in her life.
